One more find

A beautiful set of ruby flash goblets and dessert plates

A brand new french grain sack, large and thick, with the eiffel tower tag, I couldn't resist it, french and french

I got the grain sack as a gift, never used it, its so beautiful, I couldn't afford them. I just thought the little gift tag goes with the grain sack.

A beautiful day

Welcome Melanie, and all my new followers, its a beautiful day in the neighborhood, Melanie is from the East Coast, a neighbor. I call everybody from New Jersey and north my neighbors, I feel sometimes I should live south of Penn. near Alabama, Mo, or west near Wisconsin, Oregon.
Blogland is popular all over, you meet so many people with the same interests like you, and, what I like is that they don't think you are crazy when you paint an antique, and then distress it so much, that it looks beautiful.  People that don't like shabby chic do not get it at all.

Anyway, here is my drawer, I painted with the chalk paint, then distressed it to death, I need to add the waxes, that is the project for today, but at least  half is done.
drawer painted with the chalk paint, then distressed, the drawer was green, then blue, then I painted blue again.  When I distressed it the original green showed up.

this is an old shelf, very chippy originally, I just sand it very carefully because I'm leaving the original paint. then I added the knobs with the numbers  I had three and sold them on Etsy this is the last one, very architectural and chippy

I left the original hardware, added my little tag (I'm obsessed with the tags)
Thank you for joining my blog, and do visit my shop on etsy

A Special place

My little knobs have won two treasuries on Etsy, I cann't believe it.  Anyway Etsy is a very special place, I love belonging to the teams, and love the different artists.  It is a pleasure displaying my humble creations, on Etsy.
The name of my shop is katecreative salvage@etsy.com
Grab a cup of tea, and enjoy a few minutes looking at the beautiful artists on etsy.

Thank you so much to the new followers, I hope you enjoy this blog, I try hard to write from the heart, the purpose of blogging is to admire others, support the crafters with words, and, to spread the love.

I hope you enjoy the new tags and knobs, I learned it from Sarah at  the Beach Cottage, a wonderful blog from Australia. The knobs, I learned how to make them from a tutorial on the internet.

I love topography and numbers so this was something I could do. Hope you enjoy them,

love

love tag 2" by 3" with decoupage candle

Now to the fun garage sales, I went to three all on the same street, my town is crazy, people didn't even have tables just lay it all at on the floor.  I got a few very very cheap items, I will take pictures for tomorow's posting stay tuned.
I went to the craft fair it was very cold because it was at the beach, they had some awsome crafts, all kinds, I got a sea star all wired up and with a Maine beach glass.  I will take a picture, you just use it to decorate your plants, I love them.
Then I went to the farmers market and tasted all kinds of exotic foods, like lebanese food, chocolate delights, italian cookies yum yum, almond bread and a lobster spread to die for.
Came home, and started painting an old bureau with the famous chalk paint, I'll show you some of it tomorow when it dries up, you know me and the distressing, oh I almost forgot I watched Shanna's new video in using the wax to distress, she made two videos, I'm still not very good about distressing, she did a great video, but I am afraid I will ruin the entire piece, and then you have to start all over again. I'm saving some money to buy another color of the paint, it is a bit expensive. I only have one can of Loui blue.
I would like the famous white and gray that Miss Mustard Seed and Shanna talk so much about.
I don't have a place to sell other than Etsy and, furniture is so expensive to ship, that people cann't afford it.
Perhaps some day I'll have my own place, one can dream, as of now I'm planning to advertise the bureau on craigs list, one of my favorite places.

Happy Saturday my friends,

The three little chalkboard pots

Here they are all painted with chalkboard paint,  they are so sweet thank you DYI
club,

I added one of my textures tags, to give as a gift.  Thank you for the tutorial abeachcottage.
My tags are in my etsy shop, and relatively inexpensive, they add to a little gift a touch of love.

We had a big thunderstorm here, but no tornado, just in Springfield. We are all safe, thank you God.
