Good Bye 2012

Good bye 2012!!!!

Can you believe it??  Its that time, after all the
Christmas bustle and fun, now we think and reflect in a gone year.  2012 meant a lot of different things to each of us.  Its fun to remember the great times, the achievements, the gains, but also the losses, the failures, the not so good times, our love ones that are gone, and turn the page to a new year.
As we reflect alone and patiently, for me the
biggest lost happened not to long ago when all those little angels went to heaven too early, in Newtown Ct.  It was a shocking
tragedy that affected all of us in different ways.  However, many of us had a great year, and on the positive side are grateful to God for the blessings of being alive together with our families.

Something new:

Christmas Inspiration

Our hearts are heavy in the midst of the Connecticut tragedy.  I would like to remember the heroic acts of the teachers, principal, and students while experiencing something so so horrible.

I learned about it around 5:00 PM in the afternoon, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. May God comfort and sustain the families.

Back to our inspiration of beautiful homes:

Holly's tree is so cute with her special ornaments for a toddler. just great.
Holly Mathis living room is just beautiful, legos and all.
love the chalkboard, so cute.

I love the mantle and the stockings classic and vintage.

Hope you enjoyed the inspiration, stay safe.

Christmas traditions

Hello friends:

One of the most important activities of the Christmas Holidays is memories and traditions.
Our children will remember not the toys they received from Santa, but the TIME spent in the kitchen making cookies for Santa and others, decorating the tree with ornaments they made with Mom and Dad, at school, or just the simple gingerbread cookies, hang on the tree.
They will treasure the "First Christmas" ornament, as a baby, they handmade popcorn garlands, and the cranberries handmade garland.

On that note here are some things to remember and begin new traditions for our children:

Big and little snow globes, I made them with baby food jars, kids love them.

This is from Country Living Kraft paper rectangles stamped with ornaments.  Great idea.
Upgrade a simple ornament with a little bit of snow and a tiny tree, a feather, so simple and again the dollar store.
Love the little
Love the little trees, (dollar store)  great price.
