Everything Shabby

Hello friends:

Thank you for all your comments, love love love
what you have to say back, and I try to answer all questions.

Sometimes I think a day should have 30 hours not 24, since time goes so fast.

For today I found our lovely inspiration:

Look at these doors?????

Love the doors, a lot of work went into making these doors so shabby.
From Modern Country  A great book !!!

happy weekend,

          Yes, I recommend this product.
          Really beautiful...also expensive!
          PostedJune 7, 2011
Pros: beautiful, rustic yet elegant, unique
Cons: very expensive, not 100% refined in the functional sense
"I was looking for one piece that would make a statement but hold a lot, and this is definitely the one! I have this piece of furniture in the entryway of my apartment because it will not fit up the narrow staircase (it is HUGE). I have already gotten numerous compliments on it, have not had many visitors, and I have been here for only 2 weeks. It is very large, impressive in scale; elegantly rustic yet finished relatively well- not lacking in craftsmanship. My only complaint is that sometimes the drawers stick; for a piece costing this much, I would expect it to function flawlessly. It is truly beautiful, though, and will hold two wardrobes worth of goods."

Some warm drinks for snowy afternoons

          Hello friends:

Thank you for your comments, I love them, you are so nice.
Today, its very windy and cold, perfect for a warm
drink at the end of the day.  Traditional hot chocolate with marshmellows, herbal teas with honey from the "farmer's market", or this great "dulce de leche" coffee  from "the pioneer cook"

          Recipe: Dulce de Leche Coffee

           |   |   |

          Ingredients

          • 4 cups Strongly Brewed Good Coffee
          • 6 ounces, fluid Dulce De Leche (*see Note)
          • 6 Tablespoons Kahlua, More If Preferred
          • 1 cup Heavy Cream
          • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
          • 6 Tablespoons Chocolate, Grated

          Preparation Instructions

Add Dulce de Leche to the very hot coffee; stir until completely dissolved and combined. Keep coffee hot.
Combine cream with sugar and whip until stiff.
Add 1 tablespoon Kahlua to each coffee cup. May add 1 1/2 if desired, or may add whiskey or brandy in addition.
Pour the coffee/dulce de leche mixture into each glass. Top with a heaping tablespoon whipped cream and grated chocolate of your choice.
          Absolutely sinful!
*Dulce de Leche is sold in the Hispanic aisle of supermarkets, or in Hispanic specialty markets. It is sold in solid 15 ounce blocks, or in cans or bottles in more of a liquid form. You can also find recipes for making your own Dulce de Leche using sweetened condensed milk. Yum!

          Winter, recipe, and inspiration

          Hello my friends:

Sorry for not writing, 2012 started with a busy time for me.   many o

A great tutorial coming your way tomorrow. I made some unique things.

          Here is a pick:

Snowflake tags, I made a lot of them for customers, but have a lot left.
10 for 10.  These tags dress up a gift, a special jar, or bottle.  They also
look stunning on a bulletin board, or as magnets.
You can write a message on the back with a sharpie.

          Enjoy,
