YOU CAN DO THIS TOO BELIEVE ME
Now comes the real story:
I had the container for about two years. It sat lonely in many places, until I saw this in a blog, I cann't remember, but You and I visit a lot of blogs, most likely it was snowing, or raining, and I needed YOU, so browse, browse, and more browse.
mini martha's tutorial
Step 1: You have your milk delivered and, they didn't ask for the container, or your neighbor threw hers away.
Step 2: Sand the container, I did mine by hand, the old fashioned way, it wasn't too bad.
Step3: Prime ( I used spray prime from Lowes)
Step4: Spray or paint with a brush our best friend chalkboard paint.
It took three coats, and WAIT 24 hours or more until very dry.
STEP 5: The most important step, rub chalk all over, then wipe it with a dry cloth.
Step 6: Write a note to the kids, or today's menu, or "got milk?", decorate with flowers or magazines.
Step 7: you did it!!
Enjoy the old milk container, reuse as a message/container,
love

My Blog's mission is to inspire and encourage friends and followers to take risks in decorating, painting, transforming vintage and discarded items into beautiful ornaments for our homes. I hope I can be of help and inspiration to all my followers. I am a self-made decorator, and have not formal training in designing or decorating, however, by sharing we learn from each other. Enjoy, grab a cup of tea or coffee and have fun.
