Christmas decorations

Love the Christmas decorations.  I took a little
"Christmas Field Trip"  to my favorite places:

Michaels, Anthro, Dollar Store, in that order.
tons of people, and of course lots of inspirations.
Anthropology is into wrapping papers, twine, and
gorgeous paper, but I took pictures of some of my
favorite vignettes.  Pictures below.

At the Dollar Store I got some great tissue paper, kraft paper and I'm going back because they have those sweet "Christmas Village  houses"  so cute,
and you know how expensive they are, but here there are only a dollar and they even have the lights, snow blankets, and accesories, like the little trees, I have some ideas, I'm going to paint them white, and add some white glitter, and more
LOL, also they just got today more of the large ornaments, I mean the super large, like the ones at the Christmas Tree shop, (next shopping trip)
of course, but I prefer the $ store, don't you?  As usual, I was talking to some girls about the SUPEr
big ORNAMENTS, WE SHARED SOME IDEAS:
1, use fishing line and hang them from the ceiling.
2, Hang them in front of the big window at different heights.
3.  Fill a large bowl with greens and the SUPER ornaments, it makes a great centerpiece.

Great ideas, but if you have a $ store where you live, RUN and get the little village houses, they are going like hot cakes everyone is buying them.

Love the glass blocks, just white lights, some greens and a great bow, from Lorri Heiling's blog.

Some easy cute gifts:  chalk labels, so sweet,

Happy Thanksgiving to all Kate's Creative blog.

I hope you had a great time with family and friends.  I had a lovely dinner with my family.

It is time again, I had to get one box out and fluff bows, worked on my outdoor wreaths and cleaned out my antique sleds.

I want to share this beautiful house in Connecticut, it was featured in COuntry Living, and I so miss Connecticut at this time of the year, loved its hills, country roads, stone fences and the quiet of it all.  I lived there for a long time, and have beautiful memories.

I admire their taste and Christmas decorations.
I love the tree with the plain, rustic touch.
I think today we are all loving the old farm tables a la "pottery barn",  cozy rooms, confy chairs to sip a cup of tea, read a book,
watch TV or a movie on our DVD's.
The world is changing and home and family are so important to us today.

I love pinterest, and I decided to look for some inspiration for my own house.

From our favorite "Pottery Barn" stairs, lovely,

From the "handmade home"

a lovely shelf decorated and so sweet.

A gorgeous entrance by "French garden home.com

Hope you enjoyed the inspiration, and send me your pictures, I will post them for all to admire,

XOXO
