My Blog's mission is to inspire and encourage friends and followers to take risks in decorating, painting, transforming vintage and discarded items into beautiful ornaments for our homes. I hope I can be of help and inspiration to all my followers. I am a self-made decorator, and have not formal training in designing or decorating, however, by sharing we learn from each other. Enjoy, grab a cup of tea or coffee and have fun.

DYI tutorial chalkboard coasters
Hello friends,
I made some chalkboard stone coasters, I love coasters, I have them everywhere in my home, summer drinks everywhere, you need them.
These coasters are very easy to make, less than a 1/2 hour.
Materials:
4 stone tiles (Home Depot), cheap. They show a lot of imperfections,so they look real earthy.
1 can of chalkboard paint (Michaels, coupon)
chalk or the new chalkmarkers (Michaels, coupon)
1 sheet of cork, or felt
hot gun or strong glue
First of all spray your tiles with the chalkboard paint three times.
They dry very fast.
Secondly, glue the cork or felt to the back.
Thirdly, rub chalk all over the stones to cure the chalkboard.
You are done, pack them as a gift, or lay them on your coffee table, your friends will love them, conversation and fun.
Have fun,
martha
