For real "trash to treasures" with the Chalk Paint

Hello friends:

This is truly a trash to treasure chest with chalk paint, and notice the book pages, I love this piece, the details, an excellent job. it was done by Gloria at "Potentially Beautiful",

The pictures below are from Virginia Weathersby's  house. Virginia is the stockist for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint through  The Southern Institute of Faux Finishes, in Brandon, Mississipi.
She has 25 years of experience doing faux painting.  I am very impressed with her portfolio.  She will send you an origami recipe every time you order or another related item.  She is a master teacher.  Please go to her blog, and learn from Virginia.  Remember  NO PRIMER, NO SANDING, JUST apply the paint, then the wax, then if you want distress your piece, you can do that, but if you just like it plain, its beautiful also.  Now if you want to do something more interesting, watch this ,video  .http://www.youtube.com/user/VirginiaWeathersby

Also, leave a comment on you tube, facebook, and twitter.

This is her home, look at the walls, absolutely stunning.

This is the drawer I painted with Provence, and the two old black shelves.

The drawer took one coat, and white wax. I didn't want to distress it. I like it this way, it has a sheen after waxing it.

These are the shelves, they were black, they took two coats of Provence, I'm still working on them, they have not been waxed or distressed yet.

My drawer with my own shell knobs, I love the contrast.

Hope you liked the post, have a wonderful weekend,
