Thanks for your comments, I see a lot of you like the beach theme decorating as much as I do, after all it is hot, and it is time to go out on the boats, and swimming, eat ice cream, lobsters, clams, and good fish dinners.
Today I would like to share one of my favorite summer hot items "bouys" I see I'm not alone, I'm working on one that I found on the beach, it needs some tlc.
Here is the inspiration:
These are from a store called "Nautical Salvage" |
"The PalabraShop" in Maine sells these kind, wood ones are more expensive than foam ones. |
Pottery Barn Let me know if you use them in your home, deck, or yard. we all have different ideas. I think most people decorate according to the season, holiday, etc. I don't tend to change my furniture, I don't move it around much, I see in blogland that most people do a lot of changes, even the entire room. My neighbor is a nurse in a big hospital in Boston, she is getting a new kitchen, after 20 years of owning her home. I went in there to take a pick, and there were 5 men working on the kitchen, I thought WOW this is my way of redoing a room, family room, kitchen, bathroom. I couldn't imagine doing such a job by ourselves. I am amazed at some of the bloggers, they take apart a room, and totally redoit. Kudos to you ladies, you are amazing. Back to decorating, this is my thing, I'm almost done with my oars and buoys, pictures coming. see you all tomorow m |

What a cool idea - love that. Wonder where to find some? Doesn't Pottery Barn just always seem to get it right?? Nice post - fun stuff.
